Senate Bill 3525

Unfortunately I don't have the time or the resources to keep up to date on every piece of legislation that rolls through congress.  Believe me I wish I did!  However, I do try my best and once in awhile I find one that really needs to be brought to light.  One thing I always try to pay attention to is bills that are long, because its easy to hide things in the depths of the writing most people never read all the way through.  I've also always thought I had pretty good instincts so when I see something that bugs me I research it.

That being said there were a couple things that drove me to investigate this particular bill.  The bill of course, if you didn't read the title, is Senate Bill 3525 or the Sportsman's Act of 2012.  One of those things was the fact that, usually, the shorter the bill description is the farther from the truth it is.  Also, the Democratic party usually stands against anything gun or game related, while the Republican party is usually very pro gun and wanting to expand the game rights of hunters and fisherman.  So, when I see a "Sportsman's" bill being co-sponsored by all Democrats and not a single Republican (or at least not the last time I checked, go see for yourself govtrack.us) it makes me a little leary.

Again don't just take me word for it go read the bill.  But doing my own research these are a couple of the things I discovered.  First of all, it gives the government the completely unconstitutional ability to take privately owned real estate for government use if the said government deems it necessary to protect wildlife and game.  However, its not to be brought in front of anybody to see if it is actually necessary to use emanate domain on these particular parcels of land.

I think we can all agree that our country is in some serious financial trouble.  Unless of coarse your a brainwashed Obama cronie receiving a check from the government,  that actually believes we are in better shape now then four years ago.  This being said, enough of our tax dollars are being sent down the drains for useless bureaucracies, thus leaving us in debt by spending more then we are capable of collecting in taxes (don't miss interpret that as an ad to raise taxes, IT IS NOT!).  For this reason I do not support the opening of ANY new government offices for ANY reason until some of this nonsense is straightened out.  This bill wants to open yet another one of these offices and use my tax dollars to pay their salaries.  Yet another reason for a no vote.

Thirdly, Sec. 210 gives the Secretary the ability to put regulations into practice necessary to carry out this subtitle.  Referring to Title II Subtitle A which outlines National Fish Habitat.  The biggest problem with this line in the bill is that is no oversight or checks and balances as to the Secretary's power.  So how does anyone know if what is being regulated is actually necessary?

Again go read this bill for yourself but as for this author I will be calling my representatives and voicing my opinion for a"no" vote or at least a "no" vote in its current form.  There are a number of worthwhile things in this bill, but without reformation the bad drastically outweighs the good.

America's Voice

In today's society it's getting harder and harder to find good information.  Especially if you want to know the whole truth.  The Obama adminstration excels at covering up facts, from the Fast and Furious scandal to all the lies hidden deep inside the health care bill.  However, if you read enough sources (and take everything with a grain of salt) it is possible to find the information neccessary to have an informed vote and opinion. Obviously I try and keep up with all major news channels, all of which have an agenda, along with internet sources.  One of my favorites has always been infowars.com.  But recently a good friend of mine, Mike Evans, has started up a new site that I have found very reliable and willing to report on ALL issues.  His site is americasvoicenow.org he also has a video feed from his morning radio show.  He has the same feelings I do when it comes to constitutional rights and protecting our second ammendment.

Internet Browsing

Over the past few days I've been doing some ambulance ride time for my paramedic clinicals and it's been pretty slow.  So, I've spent my time browsing the internet.  Among my searches I have found some sites I thought everybody might be interested in.

The first one is survivalistboards.com
Its a forum for preppers and survivalist.  Its got a lot of information on just about any topic you can think of, and my favorite part is that it has a whole library of books that have expired copyrights that members can download.  I've spent a lot of time on this one and really love it.

The second is foodinsurance.com
They have plans for prepping long term food storage.  The prices break down to about $3 a meal which is pretty good for the variety they offer.  They also offer a payment plan if your wanting to store for a longer period of time but cant afford to pay for it all at once.

The third you probably all know and love cheaperthandirt.com
Cheaper than dirt has all sorts of stuff to help you get prepared for just about anything and the prices are pretty good.

Over a year

Ok so I realize its been over a year since I have posted but class has been super busy and there were some legal issues with trying to talk about some things from class. Specifically, stuff from my clinical sites. So instead i decided to dedicate my blog more to my personal activities, such as my outdoor activities and prepping. Now i don't plan on revealing all the information from my preps because i value the fact that some stuff only i know about. I will also occasionally be posting stuff from my gun club. Part of the reason we started the gun club was because, well first of all we all love guns, but also because being truly prepared for most situations that could happen are nearly impossible by yourself. During meetings we discuss our plan for when @#$% hits the fan along with other club activities such as range days and such. If you live in Howell County, MO and are interested we would love to have you, just contact me for more info.

Over the past year i have also become much more interested in my health. I started working with a company called Genesis PURE. It is a company founded by the world noted nutritionist Dr. Lindsey Duncan. The company focuses on making supplements from wild harvested super fruits. Over the past year I have changed my diet and my workout schedule and have started feeling a lot better but I wasn't exactly where i wanted to be. Then my friend introduced me to Genesis PURE. After just a month I could notice a huge change, specifically more energy during the day. Its a little expensive but my health was worth it, and man was I glad i tried it. Then the company got even better, I went ahead and paid the membership to get my products at wholesale price. I told a few of my friends about the products and got them signed up. Next thing I knew I was making commission off of them. Needless to say I got really interested in using the company in a businesses. By only committing ten hours a week or less to the company I make enough to pay for my products and feed my backpacking habit. Anyway, check it out if your interested check out my site, www.genesispureforme.com. If not check on back to see what me and my friends are up too outdoors.
